David Bowie - Life On Mars?, Liquitex Acrylic on Canvas, Original Painting

Product may vary slightly from image representation.
An original painting by Mark Reeves inspired by the 2016 re-edit of the 1973 official video for "David Bowie - Life On Mars?" directed by Mick Rock. This was the only time David Bowie wore this suit and make up.

The completion of this painting coincided with the launch of Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon Heavy Rocket, which sent his Tesla Roadster sports car into deep space with David Bowie's song "Life On Mars?" playing on continuous loop.

The painting makes use of special iridescent paint to enhance the silk neck-tie and the texture of the background, which also creates a backlit effect giving the illusion that the subject is raised off the canvas.

Liquitex acrylic paint applied with brushes and palette knives to stretched canvas. Ready to hang with brass wire and brass fittings attached.
